Friends of Waurn Ponds Creek conducted a 'Clean Up' of the surrounds of Waurn Ponds Creek on Sunday, March 6 starting at the Baseball car park near the junction of Pioneer Rd & Meadowvale Drive, Grovedale.

The 'Clean Up' was from 9.00am till noon, stopping for a delicious morning tea thanks to some great home baking and a generous donation from Bunnings.

35 people from all various ages registered to help clean up the creek. Bunnings team members joined us and we thank them for their kind donation of equipment and protective gear that made life a little easier for us all. It was also great to see some students from Sacred Heart there to help out.

In the 3 hours we were there, we collected 7 supermarket trolleys, a large sheet of tin, several lumps of timber and a skip full of rubbish.
